eLIT grew from the conviction that educated, informed and fulfilled mothers are critical for the children of the 21st century. eLIT believes the ability to make informed choices is the true form of empowerment for women. This empowerment is achieved through education and economic opportunity, which in turn provide the most effective tools to combat both ignorance and poverty as well as douse the fire of political and religious extremism for future generation of children that are raised by informed mothers. This year, eLIT celebrates its 5th anniversary and to date more than 1,000 women and children have benefitted from eLIT Learning Centers.

eLIT is made possible from the generous contributions and support of various organizations and individuals. Find out how you can donate or volunteer to partner with eLIT.
